The Pros and Cons of Work Travel

In the workforce of today and tomorrow, the necessity of “business travel” is becoming more and more apparent. Globalization has shown us that it is often more profitable, multi-cultural, and interesting to do business with foreign companies. With these changes have come different challenges for the normal worker. This article explores the pros and cons of such a change.

Home Life

Pro - You get to travel the world, see many different places, experience new cultures, have sex with hundreds of cheap prostitutes, and meet a whole array of interesting people.

Con - You miss your girlfriend/boyfriend (if you have one), you miss your wife/husband/family a lot (if you have any). If you have neither, then you’re one lucky son of a bitch, because under this heading there are no cons. But please, wear a condom/ femidom when amalgamating with the local brazzers.

Office Life

Pro - I don’t know about you, but personally speaking, it’s great to get away from the normal hustle and bustle and get a feel for a different work environment. This is especially sweeter if your boss happens to be a large lump of semi-viscous lard, who smells like a cross between burnt hair, concentrated urine expelled from an athlete who just completed a marathon, and brute for men.

Con - Even though we live in an age where computers have made our lives a million times easier, it is still rather difficult to have an office in your laptop that is as substantial as your regular one. There is always something you miss, or something you need to get from your main office.

Stress

OK, I think we all know that the act of traveling can sometimes have an adverse effect on our bodies, with all the rushing and sitting on trains, buses, taxis, boats and planes etc...But on the plus side, you should use this time to ramp up some expenditure on the company’s credit card. Put your feet up, have some beer, eat some nice food, and buy some expensive glossy magazines with headlines such as “Hero Frog Saves Boys Life!”, and “Man PECKED to Death by Hoard of Murderous Macaws!” Hours of brainless fun, and no stress.

Career

Pro - This is a great way to get some useful international contacts with different organizations and people. Overseas experience also looks very good on a resume and this will definitely stand out to potential employers.

Con - As long as you are doing a decent job when you are away and you don’t take the piss too much, I can't really see any unwanted side effects on your career.

Bye for now, I’m off to Timbuktu.

Good points. Especially with laptops. Most of the time, you need files that are only available at your main office.

Then my conclusion draws to continue travelling. I love travelling, i love places, i love cultures and theres nothing unwanted side effects to happen if you stick to being openminded because every country is different. Great post! Travel More

Most of us like to travel. We have many plans for many destinations. Some time we get all them with less time and less money. But some time not. But things, we can control should be done with care like:

Coolest time’s the best
Drive at optimum speed
Turn that engine off
means always close your car's or bike engine at red lights. You would get that you will save too much following same habit.

Educate yourself
Once you got your destination, you could save money while saving spend taking unnecessary taxes, or phone calls to your friends. Both you and your known persons will be happy.

Interact with other travelers that you might never had gotten to meet had you stayed in a hotel.
